I recently finished this masterpiece being inspired to dream about springtime. It is a 9"X 15" welded steel wall art panel airbrush painted in metallic acrylic paints. This panel is listed here in my Etsy shop.
Thank you so much. It is interesting you mention "survivability" of art due to cost fluctuations in commodity prices. Mostly I work in steel and about 80% of the value in my art is conceived in the creative process. About 15% of the value is labor and time. We are actually in a unique position in art history. It seems that several past art movvements are in vogue right now. So instead of making something that will be forgotten in 15 or 20 years, an artist can create something that will appreciated for longer. I feel this trend in multiple style popularity is influenced by the Internet. Another benefit of this is it allows an artist to pursue a style they like instead of feeling forced to follow the "in crowd" per se.
